IF IT RAINS WILL THE EVENT BE ON?

Yes the event will be open, just bring your wellies, umbrella and enjoy the bands.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL ONSITE?

Due to our licencing conditions for the event Alcohol cannot be brought into the licenced area. We will be searching and checking bags on entry.  Glass is prohibited within the fenced licensed area. (Why no glass?  This is our park and we don’t want broken glass on the floor during or after the event. This is in line with the event guidelines of the Home Office and we want to keep the event safe for adults and children.)  Food and soft drinks can be brought onto the site.

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT TICKETS and ADMISSION?

Advance Tickets are available from Eventbright www.eventbright.com & Le Bateau - Ashley Cross.  Advance Tickets are priced at £5 per person per day over 18 years of age, Youth £3 & Children Under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult.  Earlybird Weekend Tickets (include a free drink before 1pm) £10. On the Door Adults £7, Youth £5, Under 12 Free. Grooves Garden Tickets (inc seating, own toilet & gin bar) Advance £12 Door £15. Donations from every ticket goes directly to our nominated charity Diverse Abilities Plus who will be helping us at the event.  http://www.diverseabilitiesplus.org.uk/ Tickets are not refundable under any circumstances other than cancellation of the festival. In the event of cancellation the full value of the ticket less any booking fees will be refunded. A ticket for the following year's event may be offered instead of a refund.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) onto the site who will be responsible for them.

WHAT FREE DRINK IS INCLUDED IF I BUY THE EARLY BIRD WEEKEND TICKET?

Half draught lager / cider, small wine or a soft drink per ticket prior to 1pm.  

ARE THERE ANY CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES?

Grooves prides itself in being a local, community family event - so keeping the children entertained.  We offer henna, hair braiding, giant inflatables, cakes, sweets and more...

WILL THERE BE ANY FOOD FOR SALE?

Yes there will be food stalls, tea and coffee and ice creams available.  You can bring your own picnic if you choose with soft drinks onto site.  We may ask to search this at the gate for alcohol as this is not to be brought onto the site.

WHY THE FENCE?

The fence was erected in 2012 after concerns aired by the police on public disorder matters.  The fence is a control measure that together with the onsite SIA security staff aims to offer a safe environment for the patrons to enjoy the facility.

WHAT CHARITY BENEFITS?

The nominated charity of the festival is Diverse Abilities Plus who we have a personal link with and who assist the festival with stewards each year.www.diverseabilitiesplus.org.uk

Last year Diverse abilities had a total donation of over £5000.

HOW DO I GET A GIG?

We have lots of requests, but keep asking as we love talent!  It’s not just music either, poetry was very popular last year or if you are a mix n mingle let us know. You can contact us through the website or the facebook page.

WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS FOR EACH DAY?

The event will run from 11 each day, Saturday and Sunday with the bar open from 11, the event and bar closes at 7pm when the park will be opened to the public again.

WHO ARE YOU?

The event is organised by the owners of Le Bateau and Funnybone Event Services.

 WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

If there was something catastrophic then we would let you know via social and web, we are talking act of God, earthquake, lighting strike, bomb alert!  Otherwise we will be onsite and the music will go ahead.  Just dress accordingly, after all we are British!

WHERE DO I PARK, HOW DO I GET TO THE EVENT?

Park?  There is a car park in Ashley Cross, and minimal parking on the road sides. We suggest;

Walking

Bike

Bus - 1 minute walk

Train - Parkstone Station 2minute walk

Please be considerate of our neighbours and not park on or near their driveways.
